Lee Roy 'Roy' Bates, 68, of Collingdale, formerly of Havertown, on Septemat his home. She went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2022. of Towanda, PA and Nikki Bates (Joe LaRue) of Stevensville, PA. Janet Clara (Skegrud) Bates was born in White Earth, Minnesota, November 22, 1936, daughter of Harvey and Elfie Skegrud.

Besides her parents, Paulette is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gordon Dale Bates Sr., of Stevensville, PA. She also enjoyed painting ceramics, working on jig saw puzzles, but especially enjoyed family gatherings, and spending many enjoyable moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved working in her flower beds, and garden. The business manager of Bates Family, Paulette was definitely the boss the family “whatever she said, it had better be done”. Growing up in Susquehanna county, Paulette was a graduate of the Elk Lake High School, with the class of 1969. Paulette was one of eight children of Paul and Valerie. on December 28, 1951, the daughter of Paul and Valerie Ruhf Newhart Sr., of Friendsville, PA. Bates, age 66, of Leisure Lakes Rd., Stevensville, PA, passed away at her home, in Stevens twp., on Saturday evening, January 13, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
